Massage - Traditional Thai Massage
The foundation of Thai Massage is based on the concept that a life force circulates throughout the body maintaining health and vitality. This life force is believed to run along energy lines or Sen. When this energy flow is blocked or restricted health may be compromised and illness may develop. Traditional Thai massage combines rhythmic compression along these Sen lines using the hands, thumbs, elbows, forearms, knees and feet with gentle rocking, passive stretching and the application of pressure on acupressure points. This amalgamation of techniques creates a wonderful and unique healing experience. Recipients feel deeply relaxed, centered and grounded on completion of the massage. Thai massage facilitates a sense of unity, wholeness and balance by creating a dynamic physical experience that integrates the body, mind, emotions and spirit.
